Duties You will perform a variety of metal repair, fabrication, plan, layout and structural disassembly/assembly of aircraft and aircraft components. You will disassemble, repair, assemble, modify, measure, and/or check, as required, to process aircraft, aircraft engine structures, components, assembles, and/or sub-assemblies. You will work with plastics and various metals and apply knowledge of basic level shop mathematics. You will work from drawings, manuals, technical directives, instructions and at times, under the guidance of a higher-graded mechanic. Requirements Conditions of Employment Must be a US Citizen. Duties You will perform work involved in routine disassembly, repair, modification, assembly, testing, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems. You will select tools and test equipment, plan work sequence, and decide which methods and techniques to follow in completing work assignments. You will perform limited functional checks on existing and newly installed aircraft electrical systems, equipment, and wiring and cables with standard and specialized tooling and equipment. You will assist in troubleshooting and performing operational checks on systems and equipment of moderate and higher levels of complexity. You will perform routine and repetitive repair and overhaul tasks- on aircraft electrical systems, components, and assemblies found in fixed and rotary wing aircraft.
