Aircraft Mechanic

*A&P License*

Flying Academy is seeking an A&P to join our growing team. We need an A&P mechanic who can fit in quickly, have a positive attitude, and has General Aviation experience working on piston-powered aircraft; preferably Cessna 152, 172 and Pipers.

_*Aircraft Mechanic Position Overview*_

The Aircraft Mechanic position works as a team member performing inspections, repairs and preventative maintenance on piston flight training aircraft. The successful candidate will possess the appropriate personality to work in a fast-paced aviation environment while maintaining a constant focus on safety and quality. A&P Mechanics will also possess the ability to dynamically move through MYFBO computerized logbook management systems, adhere to the maintenance and manufacturer manuals, and make safety-focused decisions on a day to day basis.

_*Aircraft Mechanic Minimum Qualifications*_

* Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate

* 2 or more years of piston-powered aircraft maintenance experience

* Knowledge and understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations and manufacturer manuals

* Possess adequate tools

* Pilot's license is recommended

* We can help with the relocation to LA

_*Desired Qualifications*_

* FAA Inspection Authorization

* Avionics troubleshooting experience

_*Responsibilities*_

* Perform efficient troubleshooting, aircraft maintenance, and repair in accordance with applicable aviation regulations, manufacturer's instructions, and company policies

* Ensure consistent, accurate aircraft maintenance records by properly documenting & completing required forms, computer entries, and logbook entries

* Follow all policies and procedures

* Keep a clean and orderly work environment

* Perform job duties in a safe manner

* Perform other duties as assigned

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
