*Position Summary*

Our Aerospace Client is seeking an Experience Structural Technician in assembling and fabricating aerospace structures with precision and expertise. In this role, you will perform major assembly operations, minor part-fitting techniques, and ensure structural integrity through rigorous quality standards. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to interpret technical schematics, and a commitment to maintaining safety standards in an aerospace environment.

*Key Responsibilities*

* Assemble and/or fabricate major assembly structures and perform minor part-fitting operations such as filing, sawing, burring, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming.

* Align parts on jigs and aerospace vehicles using templates, fixtures, and measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions.

* Modify incomplete or complete assemblies and incorporate design changes into the structure as required.

* Monitor and verify the quality of work in accordance with statistical process controls or other established procedures.

* Follow technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and manuals to complete installations and ensure precision.

* Inspect structures for defects, wear, and compliance with standards.

*Physical/Mental/Emotional Requirements*

* Frequently walk, sit, stand, and climb stairs or steps.

* Perform repetitive hand, arm, and finger motions requiring dexterity.

* Utilize vision abilities including close, distance, depth perception, and color differentiation.

* Lift or carry up to 50 lbs frequently.

* Ensuring the safety and security of people and property.

* Inspecting structures, equipment, or vehicles for compliance and safety.

* Performing aviation-related duties and operating or supervising heavy machinery.

*QualificationsMust-Haves:*

* High school diploma or GED equivalent with 5+ years of relevant experience (higher-level degrees may substitute for experience).

* Progressive experience with structural assembly, part-fitting techniques, and repair/refinishing such as airframe corrosion removal.

* Proficiency with tools and equipment used in structural assembly, including fasteners like rivets and hi-locks.

* Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and manuals.

* Must have personal tools in good working condition.

*Preferred:*

* Experience in the aerospace and defense industry, Department of Defense, NASA, or US military.

* Ability to travel as required.

* Eligibility to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

*Key Skills*

* Expertise in aerospace structural assembly and aluminum fabrication.

* Proficiency with airframe sheet metal drawings, riveting, trimming, and corrosion removal techniques.

* Familiarity with tools and measurements, including micrometers and calipers.

* Knowledge of safety and operational standards in an aerospace environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
