Work will primarily be performed on MV-22 & C-130 aircraft at Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. The Aircraft Mechanic III (C-130 Airframes) performs scheduled/unscheduled maintenance on aircraft airframe, power plants, corrosion control and painting, electrical and related fuel systems for T/M/S/ aircraft hired to maintain. Service airframe components at line station making repairs, short of overhaul, required to keep aircraft in safe operating condition. Specialize in work, repair and modification of structural, precision, and functional spare parts and assemblies, and specialize in engine repair. May be required to be licensed by Federal Aviation Administration if not certified on a specific aircraft platform.
