VISION MT is looking for qualified individuals for avionic/electrical system modifications and installations. *AVIONIC/ELECTRICAL Systems Technician* * *Must *have 3 years aircraft avionics/electrical related experience. * Knowledge of the NAVAIR 01-1A-505-1 Aircraft Electric & Electronic Wiring Installation & Repair Practices Tech Manual is a plus. * Work is performed on the aircraft, hangar deck, flight line or in-house cable lab depending on the task to be completed. * Worker may be required to work in tight spaces, utilize step ladders, lift items weighing up to 50lbs., stand or sit for extended periods of time to perform job tasks. * Work entails, but is not limited to: * Installation of new cables and harness assemblies * Modification or removal of existing systems * Termination of different cable types per referenced prints, schematics and wiring diagrams (EMI Shielded, AEACON, MTL, Coaxial, Twinax, Triax, Quadrax, CAT V, CAT VI) * Installation of different electrical connector types (Pin/Socket Cannon Plugs, RJ45, USB, SMA, BNC) * Fiber Optic Cable Termination experience helpful. * Identify and utilize assorted tools to perform assigned tasks (strippers, crimpers, solder iron, heat gun) * Properly route, clamp and secure harnesses per applicable wiring diagrams * Utilize electrical multi-meter to perform continuity test and checks on cables and harnesses * Must be available to work a standard weekly schedule with overtime as required. * May be required to travel to offsite locations in support of delivery, installations, and modifications. * Follow Safety, Personal Protective Equipment, Tool Control and FOD guidelines. * Salary is negotiable and based upon experience. * Three (3) Professional references required. * Security clearance a plus. *Salary Commensurate with Experience* Job Type: Full-time Pay: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * AD&D insurance * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Life insurance * On-the-job training * Paid sick time * Paid time off * Tools provided * Vision insurance Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Day shift * Monday to Friday * Overtime Work Location: In person
