DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: We are seeking an Avionics Engineering Technician to plan, design, and test aircraft parts and provide feedback to the manufacturing teams. The selected technician will have responsibility for and should have expertise in the following areas: Ensure compliance with aircraft and missile requirements. Collaborate with other engineers and professionals on developing, producing, testing, and maintaining aircraft. Conduct repairs and installations. Test internal systems and check quality assurance based on understanding of aircraft and computer systems. Analyze new product designs to ensure efficiency and safety. Perform other duties, as assigned. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Associate's degree in a related field of study, at least 10 years of relevant experience. A higher-level degree may substitute for experience Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education Ability to understand and interpret complex technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications. Instrumentation experience using standard laboratory test equipment, other measurement equipment, hand tools, and power tools. Experience with 3-D CAD software and generating wiring schematics. Basic skills with avionics installation tooling, wiring, wiring repair, and wiring installation. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience pinning/de-pinning connectors, crimping, and chafe protection. Troubleshooting skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Understanding of soldering techniques and/or J-Std certified. Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, NASA, the US Department of Defense or US Military. A&P Certified. Experience with digital or analog circuit analysis. Contributes as a team member to maintain high aircraft availability rates 365 days per year. Supervises any vendor technicians performing specialized inspections, repairs, or logistical support on or off site. Interfaces with domestic and foreign government representatives regarding the use of local logistical infrastructure. This will include Maintaining Traxxall maintenance tracking program and maintaining parts ordering, receiving, and shipping programs.
