A&P Mechanic

BigFoot Staffing is partnering with a respected aviation maintenance provider to help grow their skilled team. We're looking for an Aircraft Mechanic with 3–5 years of A&P experience, preferably with a background in General Aviation (GA). This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who either holds—or is interested in pursuing—their IA certification.

You’ll play a key role in maintenance operations, partnering closely with the current IA and taking the lead on inspections, complex troubleshooting, and high-quality repairs. For the right candidate, this position offers mentorship and growth into a senior leadership or IA role.

This role is ideal for someone who:

Brings solid A&P experience with GA aircraft and wants to take the next step professionally

Is confident leading inspections, solving complex mechanical issues, and mentoring junior techs

Is interested in (or already has) their IA and wants to be part of a high-quality, trusted shop

Is driven by pride in workmanship, safety, and continuous learning

Requirements:

FAA A&P License

3–5 years of recent hands-on experience with General Aviation aircraft

Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills

Familiarity with a wide range of tools and diagnostic equipment

Ability to pass an FAA drug screening

IA certification a strong plus—but not required

Schedule & Benefits:

Pay: Starting at $40/hour and up depending on experience and certification level
