The C-12/King Air Army Transport Aircraft Mechanic (FAA A&P) Performs organizational and intermediate level maintenance on C-12/King Air 200/350/1900 aircraft. A valid (FAA) A&P certificate is Required. Army C-12 / King Air 200/350/1900 hands-on A&P mechanic experience is required. Three Pay Levels - (AM-1, AM-2, AM-3) specific level for hire is determined by the years of hands-on experience on the assigned aircraft C-12 / King Air. US Citizenship is Required to obtain a US Gov Secret Security Clearance, and for facility and base access. Is responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, repairing and modifying aircraft systems to ensure continued airworthiness. Know and understand the functions and requirements of computerized maintenance software. Perform aircraft recovery missions as necessary. Perform engine run or taxi operations. Meet requirement to obtain certification within 12 months of employment. Reads and interprets manufacturers’ maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements: High School degree or equivalent is required. All personnel performing engine runs, ground taxi, ordnance loading, or operating self-propelled support equipment within 10 feet of the aircraft silhouette must pass a physical examination from a qualified medical professional prior to conducting these operations, and subsequently on a specified periodic basis, not to exceed 5 years. Security Clearance Requirements: Ability to obtain and maintain a US Govt Secret Security Clearance is Required; US Citizenship is Required to obtain a Secret Security Clearance, and to obtain facility credentials and authorization (CAC) to work at this site and facility. Physical and Additional Qualifications: Ability to move freely about the interior and in the unpressurized area aft of the aft pressure bulkhead and meet aircraft specific specs for weight limit.
