F-18 Airframes Mechanic Description: Services, repairs, and overhauls aircraft to ensure airworthiness. Repairs replace and rebuild aircraft structures of moderate difficulties, such as wings, fuselage, surface controls, and functional components including rigging, plumbing, and hydraulic units utilizing hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet guns, and drills. Reads and interprets manufacturer's publications, maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components. Inspects airframe components for fluid leaks, cracks, and other damage. Troubleshoot, remove, replace, and repair aircraft structural and hydraulic system components. Perform miscellaneous duties to service aircraft systems. As required by site operations and site management, be certified as a CDI. Shall be able to correctly prioritize workload to maintain schedules and maintenance standards on assigned projects. Qualifications: The candidate must have completed the Navy Class "C" school in airframe and hydraulic repair for the position-specific T/M/S aircraft billet, or USMC/USCG (Five years organizational level experience on the applicable position-specific T/M/S aircraft may be substituted for the Class "C" school.). Must have a minimum of five (5) years experience in organizational-level airframes/hydraulics maintenance in similar T/M/S aircraft. Must have three (3) years experience in the specific TIM required/Series preferred aircraft. Engine turn qualified and Auxiliary Power Unit designated personnel shall be at a minimum, level II mechanics. Gas Turbine Engine Mechanic IV -2nd Shift (12:00 pm - 8:30 PM) Ready to launch your career in high-precision mechanics? We're seeking a skilled Gas Turbine Engine Mechanic to join our growing team! In this rewarding 2nd shift role (Monday-Friday), you'll play a vital role in keeping our gas turbine engines running smoothly. Plus, you'll receive a tooling sign-on bonus of $1,500! What you'll do: Disassemble and meticulously repair gas turbine engines, including reassembly for peak performance. Apply your expertise in repairing and fabricating engine parts and tools using various techniques like sanding, blasting, deburring, and brazing. Breathe new life into engines by replacing worn or damaged components using precision tools and gauges. Maintain the highest standards of quality by ensuring parts meet exact tolerances throughout the repair process. Troubleshoot and resolve engine module discrepancies with a keen eye for detail. Prioritize safety by ensuring all tooling is properly calibrated before use. What we're looking for: High school diploma or equivalent is a must. An A&P license (Airframe and Powerplant) is a plus.3-5 years of experience as a gas turbine engine mechanic is ideal. A willingness to tackle challenges and contribute to a team environment.
