Aircraft Mechanic I

The Vance Aircraft Mechanic performs maintenance, overhaul, repair, inspection, and aircraft servicing functions on assigned aircraft within an aircraft maintenance and operations environment and in accordance with applicable instructions.

Essential Responsibilities:

Responsible to assigned senior/lead for accomplishing maintenance actions. Reviews and completes forms documentation pertinent to maintenance and equipment accomplishments.

Ensures technical data and tool control are in use on all work assignments. Ensures work area and equipment are kept clean daily and equipment is stored in proper places.

Must be knowledgeable of section operations.

Responsible for completion and accuracy of aircraft/equipment forms documentation and MIS input.

Performs other duties as assigned. Must be able to meet the physical qualifications as outlined in Appendix F of the CBA.

Minimum Requirements:

High School diploma or GED

One (1) year of documented aircraft mechanical experience (DD 214 or employment record)

Satisfactory completion of Mechanic, Aircraft training criteria

Hold a valid FAA A and/or P license.

Must be able to meet the physical requirements as outlined by Appendix E of the CBA.
