Job Responsibilities Demonstrates a safe and compliant work environment by complying with Safety Policy and Procedures Manual and General Maintenance Manual policies and procedures as well as ensuring compliance of subordinates. Submits manual revisions as required for any identified ineffective processes and/or procedures. Schedule the department in such a manner that adequate coverage is provided while maintenance is being performed. Prepare written reports to Maintenance Manager for Delays, Cancellations, and Irregularities. May sign maintenance release and assume full responsibility for aircraft that fall under the jurisdiction of the Maintenance Department during a check. Ascertain that the responsible mechanic properly executes all necessary work records. Coordinate all operation planning to assure that the proper work is performed on the aircraft as scheduled. Monitor aircraft appearance and ensure aircraft are well presented. Account for the performance of assigned personnel. Maintain liaison with Maintenance Control, Production Planning, and other departments. Ensure adequate tool inventories are maintained and proper use of these tools is observed. Work in an outside maintenance operation to ensure airworthiness of aircraft. Deliver comprehensive pre-shift briefings to ensure team is well informed and creating opportunity for open dialogue. In regards to the performing of maintenance, preventive maintenance, alterations or other functions affecting aircraft airworthiness, the Maintenance Supervisor on duty will be available for consultation and decision making on matters requiring instruction or decision from higher authority than that of the persons performing the work. Provide direct supervision of the Lead Mechanic. Delegates duties as necessary, although this does not relieve the Supervisor of the responsibility. Responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs. Performs other duties as assigned. Position Specifics: Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent. Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification. Successful track record of leadership in aviation maintenance. Demonstrated ability to guide and manage effectively, troubleshoot and resolve issues, and ensure high-quality, timely completion of tasks. Minimum of one year of hands-on experience working on turbine-powered aircraft. Thorough understanding of aircraft maintenance processes and proficiency in utilizing applicable manuals such as the General Maintenance Manual (GMM), Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM), Fault Isolation Manual (FIM), and wiring diagrams. Proficient in the use of required calibrated test equipment for diagnostic and operational testing of aircraft systems. Must possess or have ability to obtain a U.S. Passport or equivalent within 90 days of starting position. Ability to speak/read/write in English. BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The purpose of this position is to inspect, maintain and repair equipment and facilities at any or all locations of water treatment plants, to supervise a work site or sites, and train and monitor employees. This is accomplished by inspecting equipment and facilities, completing routine preventive maintenance, generating work orders, responding to customer complaints and inquiries, ordering equipment, parts and supplies, and researching equipment operation. Other duties include cleaning and maintaining grounds, pump stations, water towers, calibrating and repairing all safety equipment, entering work orders, and ordering parts and supplies. LICENSING REQUIREMENTS: Driver’s License Required – Y Type - A Endorsements – N – Tanker Individuals who do not currently have a commercial driver's license will be required to acquire a commercial class A license with tanker endorsement will be given 60 days to complete the ELDT Course from date of email enrollment to provide the commercial learners permit (CLP) and 60 additional days to provide a valid the commercial driver's license as a condition of employment. Individuals must pass the Class D Wastewater Certification from TCEQ within 1 year of hire or promotion. The Class C Wastewater Certification from the TCEQ must be completed within 2 years of hire or promotion as a condition of employment. Individuals will be given 4 attempts at each certification exam during the required period. An individual who fails 4 attempts at either the D or C level will be considered for termination.
