The Avionics Technician must perform a variety of installation and maintenance tasks on avionics hardware and wiring assemblies. The Avionics Technician must work within estimated time and in accordance with applicable HAECO Airframe Services, FAA, and customer standards of quality. • Perform such typical maintenance functions as cabling, component removal/installation, wire harness removal/installation, fabrication/repair of wire harness assemblies, and continuity checks. • Determine if work can safely be accomplished if aircraft is in a power-on mode and be able to conduct necessary testing if in a power-on mode. • Fabricate and install all wiring assemblies and associated mechanical equipment. • Remove and install avionics systems. • Follow all applicable specifications to accomplish a specific task. • Follow Customer aircraft maintenance documentation programs. • Followwiring diagrams, engineering drawings, Illustrated Parts Catalog, ATA Codes, Service Bulletins and Maintenance Manuals. • Read electrical schematics and use them to troubleshoot and repair aircraft avionics systems. • Maintain a clean and safe working environment. • Be familiar with ESD processes and requirements • Be aware of EWIS requirements • Must efficiently perform tasks. • Follow all safety procedures and specifications with appropriate PPE. • Execute all required paperwork as work is being completed in connection with assigned normal duties. • Use and operate ground support equipment, as applicable and if qualified, in a safe manner. • Complete assignments with little or no rework. • Act as a mentor and help train less experienced avionics technicians. • Interface effectively with members of management, other departments, and co-workers. • Perform other work as instructed by the Avionics Lead or Maintenance Supervisor, if qualified. What you need: (Requirements) • High School diploma or equivalent. • Must provide own tools as indicated on company tool list. • Language (read, write, speak, and understand English). • Eighteen (18) months or more of experience troubleshooting and effecting Avionics repairs on Military, Commercial transport aircraft or two (2) or more years proven performance competence within HAECO. • Subject to noise more than 85 dbs. • Be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and/or stand for prolonged periods of time and climb ladders and/or service stands. • May be exposed to hazardous chemicals and requires the use of all safety equipment. • Must be able to breathe through a full-face respirator. Employees with facial hair will be required to purchase a hood to meet respirator requirements. • Job requires participation in the DOT random drug and alcohol testing program. • Normal or corrected hearing. • Capable of lifting fifty (50) pounds. • Minimum visual acuity of 20/40 corrected. Preferred • FAA Airframe and Powerplant or FAA Airframe certificate. • FCC License. *Job Description:* We are seeking experienced *Structural Mechanics* to join our traveling team supporting aircraft maintenance and modification projects at various client sites across the country. This role involves extensive travel up to 4 weeks and hands-on work with a variety of airframes, performing structural repairs, installations, and upgrades. *Requirements:* * hands-on structural repair experience in aviation (preferred) * Proficient in fabrication, riveting, drilling, and blueprint reading * Ability and willingness to travel frequently (up to 100%) * Must pass background check and drug screening *Key Responsibilities:* * Perform sheet metal repairs and modifications on fixed-wing aircraft structures (fuselage, wings, bulkheads, etc.) * Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and maintenance manuals * Use hand and power tools (riveters, shears, drills, etc.) to perform structural work * Replace or repair worn or damaged components * Ensure work is completed in accordance with FAA regulations and company standards * Accurately complete required documentation and work orders * Communicate effectively with team leads and quality assurance personnel _Sparta Networking is an equal opportunity employer.
